There are certain things that you must do and remit when you run your own business. These in there most basic terms are the filing of your annual accounts, and tax returns to HMRC each year. In addition, there are a number of other filing requirements with HMRC monthly quarterly and annually (i.e. VAT and PAYE) & legal obligations to file certain documents with Companies House. We will keep you compliant with these areas and make sure that you don’t miss any of your deadlines. Missing these can be costly due to fines and penalties, but also can have a detrimental effect on third party funding for your business.
Over the last few years we have seen changes to the way we remit and file taxes, with more electronic and real time filing (RTI). If this goes wrong the penalties can be significant, and hence we are happy to manage these areas of preparing and filing the necessary information on your behalf. If you choose to do any of this yourself then we are happy to advise and help with any questions or problems you may have. We are in the process of the pension auto enrolment legislation being phased in, with some businesses having staged and others needing to stage over the next couple of years. We can offer advice on the questions you may have, and will work with you to meet your statutory obligations.
